This and That

* Alligators can live up to 70 years, which is why there is a good chance that they will see you later.

* Instead of watching the Academy Awards this year— okay—I haven’t watched them in like forever—I watched the 2024 Movie Guide Awards on the Great American Family Channel. They gave all the glory to God, and ended the evening with a prayer.

* This is for my sister…..I stopped believing for a little while this morning. Journey is going to be so mad at me!

* You know I love my music, so see if you can follow this… ”What if Stacey’s Mom was Jesse’s Girl and her number was 8675309?

* And here’s a shout out to the Grass Roots! Songs worth singing or listening to…. Midnight Confessions, Temptation Eyes, Sooner Or Later, Wait a Million Years, Where Were You When I Needed You?, Two Divided By Love, Heaven Knows!, Bella Linda, and The River is Wide. Yes, I have their albums and CDs. Their songs take me back to my junior high days!

* If you haven’t heard this yet, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are opening a steakhouse in the Loews Kansas City Hotel called 1587 Prime.

* I hear Tom Hanks, Barbra Streisand, Robert DeNiro, Lady Gaga, and Cher will leave the United States if Donald Trump wins the November Presidential Election. All I have to say about that is, let me know the time and place and I will help you all pack.

* If you have to remove two of the following food items out of your diet forever, which ones would they be and why? Your choices are: pizza, ice cream, fries, cookies, chips, cake, chocolate, cheeseburger or soda. Mine would be soda and ice cream. I am not a big soda fan anyway and there are other drinks that have fizz in them. As for ice cream, there are ways to get around that with frozen yogurt or sherbet.

* I read this and had to laugh….If Celine Dion sang only the vowels in her name, it would be the lyrics to “Old Mc-Donald had a Farm.”
