From the files of the sheriff's department

Four deer accidents make up this week's report from the sheriff's department. None resulted in injury.

On December 20th at 5:50 p.m., Jessica Beesley, 38, of Palco struck a deer in the roadway with the 2014 Dodge Caravan she was driving. Location of the accident was half a mile east of 7 Road on Highway K-18.

Two minutes later, Brett Allen Lafferty, 35, of Kansas City hit a deer with the 2017 GMC Sierra he was driving. Location was half a mile east of 20 Road on Highway 24. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

On December 23rd at 5:52 p.m., Amanda K. McDermott, 34, of Hill City hit a deer with the 2018 Chevy Malibu she was driving. Location was half a mile west of 5 Road on Highway 24.

On December 26th at 11:33 p.m., Mark Robert Axelson, 33, of Plainville hit a deer with the 2000 Chevy Blazer he was driving. Location was half a mile north of Y Road on Highway 183.
