The Stockton Sentinel is excited to announce several new and exciting changes for both our digital and print subscribers beginning with next week’s issue.

The first change you’re sure to notice will include the release of a “new look” newspaper for our print subscribers dated Thurs., April 2nd. Along with this change will be a new and improved website and digital edition of our newspaper which will debut Fri., April 3rd.

“The online version (e-Edition) of the April 2nd issue won’t be available until Friday, April 3rd. However, in the weeks to follow, the latest issue will be viewable on Wednesdays,” said Bart Hamilton.

Along with the change to our new e-Edition next Fri day, will be the launching of our new website.

“Our current website is very basic and we felt it was time to update to something new and much improved,” said Susan Schneider. “We are excited for the opportunities this presents for both our readers and advertisers.”

This new service, commencing Friday, April 3rd, brings you the latest news online, along with an exact replica of the printed newspaper.

With its flip-book page turning format, zoom-in functionality, and search capabilities, our new e-Edition offers the latest in digital newspaper technology while continuing to provide a classic newspaper reading experience.

With the new e-Edition, if an advertiser includes their web address in an ad, readers will be able to click on the web address which will serve as a direct link to that advertiser’s website.

This new service is available to currently-registered digital subscribers. Each week you will receive an email notification of the current issue, which has been the case since the introduction of our e-Edition back in 2011, with secure links to both a flip-book version and a PDF version of your paper.

“Receiving an e-mail notification for the new issue each week is nothing new to subscribers. But now you’ll be receiving that notification from our new partner etypeservices,” said Hamilton.

Additionally, you can always log in to the new website using your email address as your username and the word, “sticker,” as your password, entering in lowercase letters. We have made every effort to ensure a smooth transition to the new service.

As always, we appreciate your support. Thanks again for being a loyal reader and subscriber. We are always looking for ways to bring you better products, and we hope you enjoy the new website and e-Edition.
