Janel Odle won the Farmers Union Elevator contest by guessing the closest to how many bushels of milo the facility took in during the harvest season. Janel’s guess was 136,492 bushes, with the correct number 140,878 bushels.

It was the largest milo harvest on record, with manager Deb Miller stating it had surpassed the harvest from the year before by 13% and was double the ten-year average.

Obituaries were published for Jackey J. Ross III (1984), Jackey J. Ross, Jr. (1959), and Robert Leo Rogers (1928).
