Florence Mae Fahrenbruch, age 73, of Kersey, Colo., passed away at her home on Friday, January 8, 2021, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Stockton, Kan. to Francis and Mattie (Shaw) Eshler on February 25, 1947.

Florence married Edward Fahrenbruch, April 2, 1967 in Greeley.

Florence attended high school in Stockton. She spent many years working in the cafeterias at Platte Valley Elementary and North Colorado Medical Center. She also worked in the Old America Framing Department. She loved volunteering at the Union Colony Civic Center, where she made many special friends. Her all-time favorite “job” was as daycare for her great-nephew, JJ. She was proud to dedicate four years to his care, and they built an unbreakable bond.

Her greatest passion was spending time with family—attending every possible event. She adored spending time with granddaughter, Blake—getting her hair and nails done. She was on the Advisory Board of the Grand Choice Club, where she was able to travel and take many trips to Black Hawk. She rarely missed Bingo night at the Moose Lodge, where she was a member for many years.

Survivors include her son Dan (Karrie) Fahrenbruch of Kersey; a daughter Amy Fahrenbruch (Gary Hendershot) of Ault; grandchildren: Trent and Blake Fahrenbruch of Kersey, Andrew Hendershot of Las Vegas, Nev., Jenna Hendershot of Thornton; sisters: Kathy (Alan) Ley of Evans, Darlene Cole of Union, Mo.; brother-in-law Ken Carey of Fort Morgan; nephew Buck (Janelle) Shultz of Eaton; niece Becky (John) Minney of Greeley; nephew Bo (Alisha) Shultz of Greeley; great-nephews JJ, Zach, and Nathan; and great-nieces Jordan, Brinley, Chloe, and Aubree.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Fahrenbruch; son, Timothy Fahrenbruch; parents, and brother, Gerald Eshler.

Florence’s Life Celebration will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Dan and Karrie’s shop; 31501 WCR 53, Greeley, with reception to follow.
