Former Stockton resident Gary Dean Gish passed away May 26, 2020 in Casa Grande, Ariz. at the age of 81.

He was born on December 10, 1938 in Hays, Ks. to Charles and Blanche (Gilmore) Gish. Gary attended school in Palco, Ks. until his senior year, when the family moved to Colorado. He graduated high school in Fort Collins, Colo. in 1956, and shortly thereafter, entered the Navy where he served from 1956-59.

In 1961 he married Angela Marie Cordo in Pueblo, Colo., and to this union three children were born: Kole, Dan and Jillann.

Gary attended college at Colorado State College in Fort Collins, Colo., Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colo., and the University of Laramie, Wyoming (1962-64) where he earned a bachelor of science degree. He went on to teach Vocational Agriculture and Woods for 31 years in the Bazine, Washington, Hope, Stockton and Osborne school systems.

He is survived by his wife, Angela of the home; sons, Kole Gish of Springfield, Mo. and Dan (Joell) Gish of Farmington, Ark.; daughter, Jillann (James) Chaney of Port Hueneme, Calif.; a sister, Annie Laure; and three granddaughters and two step-grandchildren.
