On Saturday, February 8, at approximately 8:02 p.m., on U.S. 183 near K Terrace, Clint Donley, 42, of Ellsworth, driving a 2008 Ford Expedition owned by USD 327 Ellsworth, struck a deer with the left front of the vehicle.
On Friday, February 21, at approximately 7:30 p.m., driving a 2006 Subaru Baja on U.S. 183 near 17 Terrace, Mary Louise Collins, 49, of Minneapolis, swerved to avoid a skunk in the roadway, crossed the center line, overcorrected to the right, left the roadway on the right side and struck a barbed wire fence. Collins was not hurt, but the drivers side and front of the vehicle were damaged.
On Sunday, February 23, at 8:00 p.m., while driving a 2005 Infinity FX, Sage Armbruster, 19, of Plainville, was traveling east on K18 when his vehicle hydroplaned and left the roadway to the right, striking a barbed wire fence. The passenger side rear of the vehicle was damaged.
