Kansas Day Celebration at Nova Theatre this Sunday

Please join the Rooks County Historical Society this Sunday, January 29th, at 2:00 p.m. to celebrate Kansas Day. The organization will be hosting Steve Burns (Abraham Lincoln look-alike), who will discuss and follow the footsteps of Lincoln from his early childhood through his presidency.

Also, SHS alumnus Brian Nelson and his son, Aidan, will speak about their grandfather and great-grandfather, Jacob Nelson, who was a Union Civil War veteran. He was wounded at Gettysburg, was a member of President Lincoln’s Honor Guard, and was an escort on Lincoln’s Funeral Train.

Admission is free, with donations welcomed.
