THE WORK TO THE EXTERIOR of the Rooks County Courthouse starts with a power washing of a section of the building. Jakob Stockton and Jason DePalmo are working in sections, going around the building and refreshing and repairing the building.

ONE OF THE MANY REPAIRS being done at the Rooks County Courthouse is to the stone wall and steps going into the building. Jakob Stockton reconstructed one of the pillars by taking it apart and setting the stones back in place and filling in the missing pieces.

JAKOB STOCKTON, owner of Stockton Restoration, and Jason DePalmo are working on the exterior of the Rooks County Courthouse. They are doing work, which includes power washing, tuck pointing and other miscellaneous repairs to the stone and mortar.
The Rooks County Courthouse will celebrate its 100th anniversary next April. So for the past few years preparations have been underway to “spruce up” and restore the impressive building made of Bedford stone with an underlay of vitrified brick and constructed by Cuthbert & Son of Topeka.
