* I cannot lie. I first watched “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” with Kevin Costner back in 1991 mainly so I could see Sean Connery as King Richard at the end of the movie. With that said, I have to say it is a fun movie with lots of action and many fine actors besides Connery including Alan Rickman, Christian Slater, and Morgan Freeman, and of course, Kevin Costner, in the lineup.

* My heart skipped a beat recently when my sweet grandson caught a football pass I threw to him and he proceeded to celebrate by doing Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature Siuu move celebration!

* I just read this—in the movie “Jurassic World” Jimmy Buffett had .25 seconds of screen time when the dinosaurs are chasing the crowds, and he knew exactly how to use his cameo by grabbing himself a margarita before running away.

* Kansas City Chief Isiah Pacheco is one class act. It was reported that after the Chiefs/Dolphins game in Germany, he stayed two hours after the game to sign autographs and talk to fans. Did I mention that he is pretty cute?

* My sweet ten-year-old granddaughter gives me tips on skin care. And I listen to her.

* This fall I divided and transplanted all of my peonies and moved my strawberry barrels to another part of my yard. I really thought I got a lot accomplished until I saw where I missed digging up one of my peony plants!

* I read where someone gave out those little packets of mayo, ketchup, mustard, and salt for Halloween!

* I have started my Christmas shopping and was thinking about ordering a gift I saw online, but then I walked into one of the Stockton businesses, and low and behold, the product I was looking at purchasing online they had on hand. So the morale of this story is shop local first!

* If you store your lemons in a jar full of water with a lid in the refrigerator, they will last up to three months.

* I don’t know how well this works, but it’s fun to do. Put a few tablespoons of baking soda down your kitchen sink drains and then pour in some vinegar. The chemical reaction is pretty neat. Cover it with a wet towel. Then about a half hour later, finish up by pouring boiling water in the drains to naturally clean and deodorize them.
