* The Boys Scouts and Explorers from 32 counties enjoyed the camping facilities at the Dane G. Hansen Scout Reservation on Kirwin Reservoir. Stockton Boy Scouts included John Hageman, J. D. Niermeier, Tom Smith, Terry McRae, Ron McRae, Jerry Harding, Greg Mahoney, Doug Cunningham, Jim Rogers, Delwin LaRue, and Scoutmaster Virgil Hagan.

* Miss Pat Berkley had been honored with a bridal shower at the Plainville Methodist Church. The hostesses were Mrs. E. L. Taylor, Mrs. Jerald Starkey, and Mrs. Gordon Morris.
