Prom!

When I was a junior many, many years ago, our prom theme was “Pieces of April.” The event was held in the high school gym, and our junior class sponsor was Mr. H. Don Unruh. Everyone in the class had to sell magazines to pay for the prom decorations, which were a ton of crepe paper in pastel colors hung in single strands from the wires strung across the top of the gym and taped to the floor. There was a wishing well to stand beside for a photo op, and tulip-shaped candles on the tables. It was magical!

So, my advice to the high school students celebrating their prom this weekend is to have fun decorating, have a fabulous time, and take a million pictures!
