THIS AND THAT

* On some of the TV shows I have been watching lately, the music has truly taken me back in time. On a recent NCIS episode, the song "Precious & Few" by Climax was highlighted throughout the hour. Man! Did that take me back to 1972 and wonderful memories I made with friends who are now gone. I even had to dig out my 45 of that single and listen to it on the record player! Then on the episode of "This Is Us" the song, "Our House" written by Graham Nash, was worked into the entire fabric of the hour. Who can relate to these songs and that era? Of course, I had to smile when I googled Climax, Graham Nash and Joni Mitchell and found that they were all trending right after the TV episodes had aired. They sure don't write lyrics like they used to! (And FYI: That was not Joni Mitchell’s house in the episode. Just a stand-in version.)

* A few days ago Susan and I were talking about eating apples, and she said she enjoyed dipping apple slices in caramel. I said I liked doing that too, and sometimes I didn't even need the apple, just a spoon and the caramel. Who is with me on this?* I don't understand why when I look up Yahoo, that the headline and the photo beside it don't jive! Some of the time the person that is mentioned in the headline is not the person in the picture. What's with that? And another thing, when I do click on a headline, I want to read about that particular subject matter, not about forty different things before they get to the reason for the article, if they ever do! If this is Yahoo's way of trying to get me to look at the ads, they are not doing a very good job since I have usually signed off after seeing that the article is not what I wanted to read about. And thank you America, for finally not being interested in what the Kardashians are doing!

* This is me: “That awkward moment when your gum randomly falls out of your mouth when you’re talking to someone.”

* On another musical note....The other day I was listening to Hall and Oates and their song, "You Make My Dreams Come True,” was playing. My sweet little Trent asked me why I was listening to a commercial. I had to laugh because that song is the background music for a Google commercial!
