HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!

* This St. Patrick’s Day watch a few movie classics to celebrate the holiday. Here are my two favorites....”The Quiet Man,” and “Darby O’Gill and the Little People.” You can’t go wrong with John Wayne and Sean Connery!

* May good luck be with you wherever you go,

And your blessings outnumber the Shamrocks that grow!

* If you are Old School, plant those potatoes come Tuesday!

* May your day be touched by a bit of Irish luck,

Brightened by a song in your heart,

And warmed by the smiles of the people you love.

* What do you get when you cross poison ivy with a four-leaf clover? A rash of good luck!

* May good luck be your friend in whatever you do

And may trouble be always a stranger to you.

* On St. Patrick’s Day raise your pint of Guiness, Baileys, a green beer or maybe even a Lucky Charms shot!

* For each petal on the shamrock

This brings a wish your way.

Good health, good luck and happiness

For today and every day.

* If you’re not a fan of corned beef and cabbage, here are a few other Irish foods to whip up to celebrate... Irish Stew made with lamb, mutton or beef; bacon and cabbage mixed with potatoes; Coddle, which is sausage, bacon and potatoes; or Colcannon, a mixture of mashed potatoes, cabbage or kale and plenty of butter!

* If you enjoy reading, check out these Irish authors.... Jonathan Swift, the author of “Gulliver’s Travel;” Oscar Wilde who wrote the novel, “The Picture of Dorian Gray;” seek out the horror novel “Dracula” by Bram Stoker; or enjoy the fantasy of C.S Lewis’`The Chronicles of Narnia.”

* These things I warmly wish for you,

Someone to love

Some work to do,

A bit o’ sun,

A bit o’ cheer,

And a guardian angel always near.
