* Nancy, I will miss seeing you at the Sentinel, but I know you will drop by once in a while because YOU WILL MISS US! I enjoyed our years working together and being part of this crazy newspaper family. Wishing you all the best.

* Now that our proofreader has retired, please give me a little slack as I take over some of the duties and proofread my articles. I will get names spelled wrong, get the wrong name lined up with the person in the photo, write wrong dates and times, etc., on occasion. However, for the most part, I will still entertain you with my editorials, report on what’s happening in the town, and write feature stories about the people in our community.

* I found a recipe for salted caramel marshmallow Rice Krispie treats. I can’t wait to try it.

* Why are we paying for Ukraine’s citizens’ pensions when I have worked all my life to barely get any social security that also comes with government stipulations saying a person should wait until age 70 to apply for it?

* Songs that are 45 years old this year! “Baby, Come Back,” “Take A Chance On Me,” “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad,” “Kiss You All Over,” and “Stayin’ Alive.”

* And speaking of songs, have you ever turned on your car and had the stereo blast you out because you were listening to a great tune the last time you were in the car and had the volume turned up?
