The Stockton Lady Tigers cruised to a 60-34 win over the Hill City Lady Ringnecks last Friday at Hill City in the season opener for both teams. The Lady Tigers made it look easy as they were firing on all cylinders en route to their 26-point victory to move to 1-0 on the young season.

In boys action, the Stockton Tigers struggled offensively for most of the game, falling in the end by the score of 51-37, to drop to 0-1.

This week Stockton will be competing in the Purple & Gold Basketball Tournament hosted by Trego Community High School in WaKeeney. The Tigers played Northern Valley on Monday, and will play again on Thursday and Saturday, with who and when depending on the outcomes of the previous games.

Although the teams exchanged baskets in the third quarter to keep the difference at 24, 47-23, Stockton would go on to win by 26 points, 60-34.
