The Council of the City of Woodston met in the Council Chamber at the City Hall on Monday, November 13th, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor April Yakish called the meeting to order with council members Kate Terry, Thomas Yakish, Bill Dibble, Charles O’Neill, Larry Morgan, and employees Shari Reichard, Andrew Saaranen, and Rick Maynard present.

At the start of the Stockton City Commission meeting held on Tuesday, December 5th, the Consent Agenda was approved by the commissioners, which included the Solomon Valley Manor gross payroll of $64,732.54, the Solomon Valley Manor warrants of $73,143.06, the City of Stockton payroll of $105,519.11, the City of Stockton warrants of $80,414.11, and the November 17th regular meeting minutes.

“Jesus saw that they were ready to take him by force and make him king, so he went higher into the hills alone.” (John 6:15) This particular verse in the book of John occurs right after Jesus had just performed the miracle of feeding five thousand people from just the five barley loaves and two fish. Jesus knew what the people were thinking, but becoming king (ruler) was not why he had come to earth.
