The Rooks County Health Center’s annual meeting and board elections are this Friday, May 3rd, in the Cottonwood/ Greenhorn meeting rooms of the Rooks County Health Center (1210 North Washington, Plainville).

Before the annual meeting at 6:00 p.m., there will be a candidate question and answer session from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to allow people to get to know the candidates. People can vote from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the two open positions.

Seven candidates are running to serve on the board of directors. They are Dr. Shelbe Darnell, DC, Dan Sanchez, MD, Mark Schaukowitch, Mari Tucker, Jeff Van Dyke (incumbent), Jon Voss (incumbent), and Jaci Wise.

No nominations for candidates will be taken from the floor. To vote, hospital district citizens will need proof of residency.
