THE MAJESTIC ROOKS COUNTY COURTHOUSE was the star of the day during its Centennial Celebration, which was held on Thursday, April 20th. A large crowd gathered for the outdoor program commemorating the structure, faithfully serving the community for the past century.

THE GRANDCHILDREN OF J. D. REED, who served as one of the Rooks County Commissioners in 1921 when construction of the courthouse began, traveled from around the United States to be present at the Centennial Celebration of the building on Thursday, April 20th. A LARGE CROWD of past courthouse officials, honored guests and community members were present for the program commemorating the 100th year of the Rooks County Courthouse. The event was held on Thursday, April 20th, exactly 100 years from the day of the Dedication.
