No, your dog didn’t eat part of your paper, nor did your husband misplace the last two pages.

We received several calls last week from subscribers wanting to know if part of the Sentinel was missing. And the answer is yes!

There should have been 14 pages printed. However, until the paper was picked up in Hays last Wednesday, it wasn't known that only 12 pages reached the printing press.

After a few phone calls, it was learned there was a technical glitch with Salina’s FTP site to which the paper is uploaded each Tuesday. Each week, our pages are viewed there before being sent to the printer in Hutchinson. Unfortunately, only 12 pages appeared even though 14 pages had been sent. After going back to the site, all 14 pages were visible, but it was too late to correct.

Content missing included the advertisement for the Girls State Wrestling Tournament, a continuation of the “Courthouse Snippets” and the full page of Rooks County Soil Conversation Poster Winners.

The good news is this week’s paper is being reprinted, along with the content missing from last week’s issue, and the poster winners are highlighted this week in full color along with our front page.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
