Ralph R. “Bob” Lambert, of Stockton, passed away on May 3, 2024, at HaysMed in Hays, at the age of 82.

He was born on July 23, 1941, to Elton and Mildred (Opdyke) Lambert in Stockton. He married Pansy Holliday on February 15, 1962, in Stockton. They were blessed with two children: Robbie and Fay.

Bob grew up in Stockton and graduated from Stockton High School in 1959. He then attended barber school in Denver until 1961. He worked for Kenneth Cooper, and when he retired, Bob bought his business. After 30 years as a barber, he sold the shop and worked for American Golf Carts, selling golf carts for 15 years. He then worked for Jeff Cooper in Hays on carts for about ten years before retiring.

Bob enjoyed playing golf, bowling, Snooker, 8 Ball, and Sunday dinners with Fay and Gary. He coached baseball in the 1970s for many years, including Little League, K-18, and Legion Ball. He knew people everywhere. He loved his kids and grandkids and his drink of choice—Crown Royale.

He is survived by his wife, Pansy of the home in Stockton; son, Robbie Lambert of Stockton; daughter, Fay Thomsen (Gary Peterson) of Stockton; brother, Larry (Martha) Lambert of Hays; sister, Deanna Muller of Hays; two grandchildren, Kara Horn of Plainville, and Logan (Jessica) Thomsen of Milford, Neb.; and four great-grandchildren, Zaden and Zander Thomsen of Milford, Neb., and Karleigh and Treyvin Horn of Stockton.

Bob was a hardworking, loving, and dedicated family man. He loved what he did and did what he loved. Although he will be greatly missed, his life, love, and legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Tim Horn.

A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to Bob Lambert Memorial (for the baseball field) and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 723 N 1st, Stockton, KS 67669.
