Ronald Eric Wallgren passed away on January 30, 2024, in Hays, at the age of 65, after a lengthy illness with cancer.

He was born in Logan to Lloyd and Betty (Damewood) Wallgren on August 29, 1958.

He had a gentle voice and a kind heart that made everyone feel loved and cared for. He cherished his children, grandchildren, and all his relatives and friends. He was a valued and respected employee at O’Reilly Auto Parts, where he worked for several years.  He always greeted people with a smile and a friendly word.  He was a wonderful man who left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his four children: Kirk Riggs and fiancé Danielle Dolphin of Tulsa Okla., Sara Wallgren and significant other Clinton Lee of Plainville, Bryson Collins and Treyvon Wallgren, both of Hays; partner Marissa Collins of Hays; two grandchildren Jackson Bo Lee and Myleigh Elizabeth-Rose Lee; brother Randall (Rod) Wallgren of Wichita; sister in-law Janeen Wallgren of Phillipsburg; a niece; nephews; three very special friends Melody Collins, Chloe Willigham, and Chris Willigham all of Hays; along with many other friends.
