Introducing the Conservative Alliance of Rooks County

There is a newly-formed grassroots organization called the Conservative Alliance of Rooks County, that is now in the process of organizing their board of directors and officers. They began with a collective group of individuals who voiced concern about the direction of the state and the federal government. Their mentors from “Americans For Prosperity Kansas” are supporting all of the organization’s efforts.

Resignations accepted at Monday’s School Board meeting

The resignations of Superintendent Sarah Armstrong and school board member Thelma Berland were accepted by the USD 271 Board of Education members at the regular monthly meeting held on Monday, March 18th.

Berland’s resignation is immediately effective, with Armstrong to finish the regular school year.

A story of the meeting will be published in the March 28th issue of the Stockton Sentinel.

Stockton Sophomores win IXL competition!

From January 29th to February 23rd classrooms across Kansas participated in IXL's Sunflower State Sprint Competition to see who could answer the most questions correctly. The Stockton High School Sophomore class WON this competition! There were 149 classrooms across the state they competed against including Topeka High School, Shawnee Mission West High, Lansing High School, Goddard High School, and more! Stockton competed against some very large schools and came out on top!
