On December 11th, 2023, Trevor Tien of Logan was seriously injured when the tree he was cutting down fell on top of him.

His injuries include a broken femur, pelvis, hip, and vertebra in the lower part of his back.

The Rooks County EMS responded to the emergency call with Tien transported to Wichita due to his injuries. Tien stated, “My family and I want to thank the Rooks County first responders, and for everyone else who has helped us since my accident.” Tien, who is self-employed, is now in a back brace and recuperating at home.

He is on non-weightbearing restrictions until the middle of March with the hope of being back to work by early summer.

The upcoming auction and benefit donations will go toward Tien’s medical bills, travel expenses to Wichita, etc., while he recuperates.

Tien, his wife, Whitney, and their five-year-old son, Rhett, greatly appreciate the help and support they have received these past months from family, friends, and the community.

The Silent Auction & Benefit Dinner also includes a dance (Rockin’ Thunder Music) at the Logan City Building. The event is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. this Saturday evening.

If you cannot attend and want to donate, please contact Jordyn Leggett at 507-402-5142.
