Dear Stockton and area residents: On January 3rd, 2022... our daughter and her family's lives were changed in just a moment! Like many other families who lost their entire homes, farms, ranches and personal belongings during the tragic recent fires in our area, our daughter's home and all their personal belongings were totally destroyed by a "surprise fire" which raged through their house in rural Alton! BUT....HOPE was not destroyed!! On behalf of my wife and I plus our daughter and her family, Kendra and Clayton Yoder, we want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the Stockton Fire Department, Alton Rural Fire Department and Osborne County EMS and their amazing volunteers who helped fight the fire for hours and who risked their lives to salvage what could be saved! While some of these brave men and women were battling a raging fire on the second story on one side of the house, others were on the other side of this historic home....

From: Kay Morris-Brodzik 785-203-0105 417 South 5th St Stockton, KS 67669 Regarding the USD 271 Board Meeting December 13, 2021 I wasn't there, but I heard from several people who were there it was a pretty brutal hour and 20 minute interrogation. Some could call it pure bullying.

Dear Bart and Stockton friends, I have been looking through a folder of newspaper clippings that my grandmother saved. Within this folder I have found one of the articles related to the Stockton Castle, former residence of Enos and Eliza Good (Note, we always believed their last name was spelled “Goode” with a trailing “e,” however this may be incorrect).

Dear Editor: I am writing this note to help people understand the problems we have been having for years in trying to preserve and prevent the continued destruction of the brick walls of the Thrift Shop. The bricks were made in Rooks County in 1886 and are poor quality with lots of sand and not much to hold them together.
