Ada Mae Bruna, of Plainville, passed away on April 14, 2024, at the Solomon Valley Manor in Stockton, at the age of 91.

She was born on April 17, 1932, in Phillips County, Kansas to Floyd Melborn and Ruth Norma (Rosenberg) Christoffersen.

She married Kenneth L. Bruna on August 17, 1951, and they had two sons, Mike and Pat.

Ada was born and grew up on a farm in Phillips County. She met Ken at Cudahy Packing Plant, where she plucked feathers from chickens while Ken worked on the dock. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Duckwall’s in Alma, Neb. In 1964, they moved to Plainville and purchased Plainville Oil Service from George Loper in 1972, where Ada took care of the company books.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Stockton.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Bruna and Pat Bruna of Plainville; sister, Doris Bruna of Hastings, Neb.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; brother, Ivan Christoffersen; grandson, Adam Bruna; and grandson-inlaw, John Workman.

A Graveside Service was held Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Alma Cemetery in Alma, Neb.
