* Now that it is autumn, it is officially pumpkin spice season, but don’t forget about the chili!

* Men in the 1940s lied about their age to save the world in WWII.

* Cristiano Ronaldo has a new cologne out. I would buy it just for the bottle design! Check it out! Okay, I would buy it just because it’s his.

* How many people are with me on this one? My superpower is holding onto junk for years and throwing it away a week before I need it.

* Here’s one for my sisters. The squirrels must be expecting a cold winter. They’re gathering more nuts than usual this year. Yesterday, my sister disappeared. (This makes me smile because Dad loved to feed the squirrels. We would find walnuts and put them beside the tree so the squirrels wouldn’t have to look for any.)

* Is this not true? My childhood punishments have become my adult goals: Eating vegetables, staying home, napping, and going to bed early.

* I have to say something about movies starting to use AI images instead of real people. Did you learn nothing from “Terminator?”

* It’s already the end of September! Halloween will be here before you know it!

* Do you all remember the song “Jesus, Take the Wheel?” Well, sometimes I wonder if He likes to go off-roading.

* Number 1 songs from 1957: “All Shook Up” and “Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis, “Blueberry Hill” by Fats Domino, “Wake Up Little Susie” by the Everly Brothers, and “Great Balls of Fire” by Jerry Lee Lewis.

* I will try this for a pop of color for next spring. After putting a little bit of rock on the bottom for proper drainage in a large flowerpot, put in some potting soil and then plant five or six tulip bulbs (I always do an odd number). Add another layer of potting soil and plant about ten or eleven mini narcissi before adding another layer of potting soil. The third layer of bulbs will be fourteen or fifteen crocus, topped with the last layer of potting soil. Then, you give the pot a drink of water after strategically placing it in your flower garden.
