 * I have decided to be the Roma Smith of my generation who went to the Stockton swimming pool whenever she could! She is my inspiration with her “plain old vanilla” walk. And I will add that I met my water spirit at the Hays Aquatic Park this summer. This 80-something lady goes to the pool whenever she can to work on her tan! That is so me.

* Break out the hoodies! It’s Pumpkin Spice time! It’s Caramel Apple time! And, best of all, it’s Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkin time!

* And talking about Pumpkin Spice, Stockton’s Pumpkin Patch is just around the corner! The first weekend in October is something I look forward to, and I love that the volunteers and community come together for lots of family fun! Get ready for pumpkins, soup, apple cider and hot cocoa, games, fall merchandise, games, s’mores and much more!

* And let’s not forget Stockton’s Olde Tyme Christmas! I know it is just September, but the event is just a few short months away! This year the day will be combined with the celebration of Stockton’s 150th anniversary! Start thinking about being in the parade to help celebrate our town!

* I was the photographer for our senior yearbook way back in the day. And let me tell you that was hard! You had one chance to get the shot. Then had to wait a week or two after you sent the roll of film away to get developed to see if you got it! Nowadays, for anyone that knows me, I take at least three to one hundred shots to make sure I have a decent photo, and sometimes that isn’t even enough!

* And here is a little tip from my yearbook sponsor, Mr. C. R. Scott—no matter what, ALWAYS write on the back of the picture who each person is, what they were doing, along with at least the year date. Nowadays, please put that contact information on the photos you upload to your computer. Years from now, you will be glad you did.
