THIS AND THAT

* March Birthday Madness starts this Sunday and do we have a lot of fun things lined up for my sweet little Tessa who will be turning seven years old! There will be parties, there will be cherry cheesecake, there will be plenty of presents, there will be surprises, and there will be tons of fun all month long!

* Remember this…. Children see magic because they look for it.

* I could go for a maple stick or two from the Rooks County Bakery right about now, or maybe one of those coconut frosted fried rolls! I remember when relatives would come visit us in Stockton years ago, we always had an array of doughnuts from the bakery on hand! And who didn’t love those cherry chip cookies?

* When someone tells me to stop living in the past, I say, but the music was so much better back then.

* Okay, I’ve been waiting to see the movie “Call of the Wild” for quite a while since it is one of my all-time favorite books, but I am pretty upset with the fact that Buck is a CGI character and not a real dog!!!! Where is Lassie when you need a real dog?

* March is a tomboy with tousled hair, a mischievous smile, mud on her shoes and a laugh in her voice. Hal Borland

* The Nova Theatre is adding another evening show time to its weekend schedule. The weekend movie will now be shown on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. See you at the movies!!

* Never assume that loud is strong and quiet is weak.

* Right after the Super Bowl, there was a picture on Instragram of a pug and little baby dressed up like Patrick Mahomes and coach Andy Reid. Aside from being a pretty darn cute photo, I have to add to the rest of the story that my sister, who loves her pug Miley and all the pugs she had before Miley, had that picture forwarded to her about twenty times within a period of about two hours!

* You are either a dog or a cat person. I am a dog person and this post I read says it best….“How I see dogs: Labrador, German Shepherd, Poodle, Beagle, Collie, Cocker Spaniel, St. Bernard, etc. How I see cats: Cat, cat, cat, cat, cat.”
