Remember this year, the Sigma Phi ESA Bake Sale will not be held as usual. Instead, the group will be selling holiday cookies, candy and caramel corn as its annual fundraiser, and you can either pick it up or they will deliver the goodies to you.

It’s time once again for Stockton’s historic Nova Theatre to hold its annual fundraiser. This spring businesses around the country closed their doors because of COVID-19, but the facility made it through because of the yearly support it receives from the community.

Due to COVID-19, the Stockton VFW Auxiliary to Post #8873 will be holding a private Quilt of Valor ceremony at the Nova Theatre on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11th for our veterans. Though the ceremony will be private, the Auxiliary would like to publicly honor its heroes for this year. They are Alvin Atherton, quilt made by Diane Maddy; Garry Baxter, quilt made by Janie Lowry; Charles Campbell, quilt made by Annette Paulson; Jim Circle, quilt made by Judy Russ; Toby Hageman, quilt made by Diane Maddy; Robert Matthews, quilt made by Karen Reed; Dale Newell, quilt made by Janie Lowry; Robert Schamel, quilt made by Janie Lowry; Floyd Thompson, quilt made by Judy Russ; and Robert Winters, quilt made by Karen Reed.

There will be a regular USD 271 Board of Education meeting on Monday, November 2, at the District Office, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
