The following traffic fines were received last week in Rooks County District Court for speeding: Daniel Antolik, $189; Calib Travers Baldwin, $171; Shayne Evan Engling, $153; Christopher Todd Gray, $153; Kenyon Neal Griffin, $189; Derrick Summers Morse, $189. In addition, Rodney Kluvers paid $183 for violation of basic speed rule; Kevin Elmer Shellito paid $30 for failure to wear seatbelt, 18+ years; and Dakota Douglas Yost paid $60 for failure to wear seatbelt, 14-17 years.

Judgments

City of Stockton vs. Tomas Mendoza, Hill City, Recovery of Money. Judgment for plaintiff for $993.50.

City of Stockton vs. Byron Hurtarte, Palco, Recovery of Money. Judgment for plaintiff for $884.00.

City of Stockton vs. David Riley, Plainville, Recovery of Money. Judgment for plaintiff for $96.34.

Galt Ventures, LLC dba Speedy Cash vs. Barbara Balthazor, Palco, Recovery of Money. Case dismissed.

City of Plainville vs. Robert J. Miller, Hays, Recovery of Money. Case dismissed. on Highway K-18.

At 9:50 that night, Timothy Scott Marcotte, 62, of Palco hit a deer with the 2010 Ford F25 pickup he was driving. Location was just east of 9 Road on Highway K-18.

On December 8th at 6:25 p.m., Ethan Anthony Means, 16, of Stockton, hit a deer with the 2010 Ford Escape he was driving. Location was half a mile north of 25 Road on K Road.

On December 9th at 6:22 p.m., Richard L. Pol-son, 77, of Stratton, Neb. hit a deer with the 2012 Chevy Traverse he was driving. Location was a quarter mile south of A Road on Highway 183.

On December 13th at 7:30 a.m., Dalton Ray Magnani, 26, of Hays hit a deer with the 2017 Ford Fusion he was driving. Location was three quarters of a mile east of 1 Road on Highway K-18.
