Stockton’s Olde Tyme Christmas and 150th Birthday Celebration set for Friday, Nov. 25th

Stockton’s annual Olde Tyme Christmas and the town’s 150th Birthday Celebration will be held on Friday, November 25th. The day will start out with the Stockton Fire Department’s Pancake Feed at City Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

At 3:00 p.m. the FREE movie “The Grinch” will be shown at the historic Nova Theatre courtesy of the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus and the William H. Andreson Fund. Then right after enjoying this family fun movie, walk outside to do a little early Christmas shopping at the Vendor Fair, which will be held on Main Street and in the businesses beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Also starting at 5:00 p.m. are the Rooks County EMS Baked Potato Bar and the Rooks County Fair Board’s Beer Garden that will be located in the Fire Department building and on the south side of City Hall in the parking area.

The Main Street Parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. when the Christmas lights will be turned on. And it is on good authority that Santa will make an appearance in the parade and then will stay to visit with the girls and boys in the gazebo at Printer’s Park!

There will be a table set up for people to sign up for a chance to win some prizes from the businesses with the drawing to take place at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall. Please note that YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!

Then to celebrate the town’s birthday, Dueling Pianos, will perform at City Hall at 7:30 p.m.
