Arrests made following search warrant in Rawlins County

RAWLINS COUNTY The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Rawlins County Sheriff’s Office arrested two subjects after a search warrant was executed in McDonald, Kansas.

On Tuesday, April 2, around 12 p.m., KBI agents and deputies from the Rawlins County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 204 Decatur Ave. in McDonald. The Atwood Police Department and the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in this operation. Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located during the search.

Claudine Valles, 48, of McDonald, was arrested for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school, possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Allen Statley, 36, of McDonald, was arrested for possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, possession of drug paraphernalia, and multiple violations of the Kansas Offender Registration Act.

Valles and Statley were then booked into the Thomas County Jail. All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation is ongoing.
