Beverly Jean Freeman, 86, Court-land, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2019. She was born April 22, 1933, on a farm near Courtland to Dewayne and Lucile Lindberg.

She attended John Brown District 75 country school and graduated from Courtland High School in 1951. She worked as a bookkeeper for an elevator in Stockton. She later returned to her hometown and was employed by Farmers Union Grain and Supply elevator in Courtland.

She was united in marriage to Paul Franklin Freeman on Sept. 9, 1961, at the Scandia Methodist Church, Scandia. She was a homemaker and farm wife.

Beverly was a member of Court-land Covenant Church, the Covenant Women’s group and the Homemakers’ Club. Survivors include: a son, Brian of Courtland; daughter, Diane Hobson of Chatham, Ill.; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and great-grandson, Cayden Michael Dunstan.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 20, at Courtland Covenant Church, Courtland. Burial followed in Courtland Cemetery.
