David James “Jim” Crandall, 69, of Swink, Colorado, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He was born Monday, May 25, 1953, in Colorado Springs, to David C. & Melba J. “Jackie” (Greener) Crandall. Jim was the second of three children.

Jim attended and graduated from Gladstone High School in Covina, Calif. He served in Christian ministry most of his adult life, beginning in 1979 when he was ordained as a minister with the Assemblies of God. He served the Stockton Assembly of God Church from 1993 to 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn K. (Lindell) Crandall of the Swink home; children, Jennifer L. (Dale) Palmer of Mound Valley; John N. (Shayla) Crandall of Forney, Texas; and Lindsey R. (Zack) Patterson of Ozark, Mo.; sisters, Sharon (Garry) Wilson, and Gail Pape; and a host of grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and son, David J. Crandall Jr.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at The Victorious Church in Swink, Colo., at 1:00 p.m., with Randy Popineau officiating. In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests donations be made to First Assembly of God – Missions, 2105 Adams Ave.; La Junta, CO 81050 direct or through the funeral home.
