Kevin Stanley Morin, 61, passed away on January 11, 2024, at his home in Wichita.

He was born on December 19, 1962, in Plainville, Kansas. Kevin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, big brother, and son.

Kevin attended Plainville High School and furthered his education at Fort Hays State University and Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He began his career at Swaim Funeral Home in March 1989 and eventually became the owner in January 1998, operating funeral homes in Dodge City, Cimarron, Montezuma, and Sublette. Kevin dedicated himself to the funeral home until his retirement in August 2016.

Kevin was an active community member and dedicated his time to various organizations. He served as Co-chairman of the Dodge City Days BBQ Contest, was on the Dodge City Chamber of Commerce board, and was the past chairman of Leadership Dodge. He also served on the Board of Directors for Hospice of the Prairie and the Dodge City Basketball Booster Club Board. Kevin deeply loved Dodge City, youth sporting activities, and the families he served through the Funeral Home.

As a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dodge City, Kevin found solace and strength in his faith.

In his free time, Kevin enjoyed grilling, fishing, hunting and various sports, with football being second only to watching his son play basketball.
