Linda Lee Riffe, Casper, Wyo., passed away on March 26, 2023, at the age of 82 after a battle with Alzheimer's.  

She was born to Agnes and Lawrence McLellan on July 29, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri. The family moved to Plainville, Kansas, where she was raised with her younger brothers, Larry and Brian. She graduated in 1958 from Plainville High School in Plainville, Kansas.

In 1962, she met the love of her life, Roger Riffe. Linda and Roger married on August 31, 1963, and were parents to two beautiful children, Angela and Matthew.  Last year they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary together. 

After high school, she studied nursing for a year at Mary Mount College in Salina, Kansas. In 1962, her life changed when she met the love of her life, Roger, boating on the lake with friends. Linda and Roger married on August 31, 1963, and were the parents of two beautiful children, Angela and Matthew. Last year they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary together. 

Linda and Roger lived in numerous cities in Wyoming before settling in Casper, where Linda lived at the time of her death. Linda was a billing and insurance coordinator for various medical offices before retiring in 2001. She loved reading and could often be found at the library checking out a large stack of books. She also loved sunflowers, especially the giant variety Roger grew in the backyard.

She was preceded in death by her beloved children, Angela and Matthew; her parents; her brothers, Larry and Brian McLellan; and her brother-in-law, Harold Copper.  

Linda is survived by her husband, Roger, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She will be laid to rest this summer at a graveside service on June 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery in Casper. Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
