Maxine LaNae (McGrath) Rush

Maxine LaNae (McGrath) Rush, 61, passed away on the evening of Wednesday, August 9th, 2023, at the Linn Community Nursing Home in Linn.

She was born to Russell and Heloise McGrath on March 12, 1962, in Clay Center, KS.

Maxine grew up in rural Kimeo, Kansas. She was the youngest of nine children. Some of her fondest memories were from her childhood on her family farm. She was always artistic and enjoyed creating and collecting crafts and antiques. She was a loving grandmother, mother, aunt, cousin, and friend.

She is survived by her four sons, Jaylon, Josiah, Jezariah, and Jameon; four grandchildren; and her siblings, Marilynne, Elmo, Darold, and Dale.

She is preceded in death by her parents Russel and Heloise; and her siblings, Burton, Martha, Linda, and David.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 23, at the Greenleaf Cemetery at 12:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at the Greenleaf Community Clubhouse from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
