Sherlyn Kats

Former Phillipsburg resident Sherlyn Kats passed away on March 13, 2024, at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas, at the age of 81.

Survivors include his wife Irene of the home in Spring Hill; his son Tim of Bucyrus; his daughter, Candace Sage of Phillipsburg; sisters, Marianne Schlatter of Smith Center and Jean VanDeHoef of Michigan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, at 10:00 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ashley Morgan Kirk. The service will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 Saturday and noon to 9:00 Sunday at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 3:00 to 5:00 Sunday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
