Willa M. Hair

Willa M. Hair, 93, passed away on January 19, 2024, at the Cedar Village Care Center in Ness City, Kansas.  

She was born on June 14, 1930, in Ransom, Kansas, the daughter of William and Ruth (Stull) Snodgrass.

Willa was a homemaker and farmwife. She married Orville Hair in Brownell, Kansas on September 19, 1948. He died on August 6, 2017.

She was a member of the Ransom Methodist Church and Young at Heart Senior Center in Brownell.

Survivors include her sons, Melvin (Loretta) Hair of Brownell, Arlan (Ellen) Hair of Pratt; daughter, Juliana Wagner of Medina, Ohio; brother, Lavern (Vienna) Snodgrass of Picayune, Miss.; sister, Wanda Wierman of Minneapolis; her grandchildren, Heather Wagner, Rachelle Wagner, Matthew Hair, Christopher Hair, Ruth Felder, Daniel Hair, Hannah Hair, Tim Hair; her great-grandchildren, Isabel, Pablo, Merlin, Isaiah, Kinslee, Autumn, Keaton, and great-great grandchild, Brayleigh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orville Hair; son, Calvin Hair (Jeanette); and son-in-law, Richard (Dick) Wagner.

The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at the Ransom Methodist Church, Ransom, Kansas. Burial will be in the Vansburgh Cemetery, Brownell, Kansas. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Ness County Food Bank, Waring Township (Brownell) Fire Department, or Ransom Methodist Church.
