I read that instead of finding a new form of social media, we should all return to bonfires, night fishing, tailgate parties, porch sitting, and cruising Main with the radio playing.

I read this: “Who remembers hanging sheets on the clothesline and the bed smelling so good when you got in it?

I read this: “When I was a kid, we didn’t have bottled water. We had a garden hose.”

I read that Ukrainians are worried about the lack of extra funding in the U.S. spending bill. (I have been worried about the lack of funding for Americans for a long time.)

I read this: “Here’s to the girls whose boots have seen horses, mud and manure, not just country concerts.”

I read that you can’t make the world a perfectly safe place for your kids, but you can always ensure they have a safe place to come home to.

I read that not everyone is meant to be a doctor or a lawyer. Teach your kids that working with your hands and building cool stuff is okay.

I read that rivers never go in reverse. Try to live like a river. Forget your past and focus on your future. Always be positive.

I read that when we were young, we used to sneak out of our house to go to parties, and now that we are older, we sneak out of the parties to go home.

I read this: “I don’t care how early I have to get up, how many uniforms and socks I have to wash, how edgy you get before you compete, how long I have to drive, what the weather is like, how tired I am from work or how late I will be up…I will always be there cheering you on.”

I read what Freddie Mercury once said in the 1980s: “We are in the golden age of music. There will be a time when technology becomes so advanced that we will rely on that to make music rather than the raw talent of musicians and singers, and that is when music will lose its soul.”

I read this: “Every high school should have a mandatory class called ‘Life’ which teaches students how to sew, change a tire/oil, do taxes, basic first aid, basic cooking, etc. All the things you need in real life.”

I read this: “I don’t want to party like it’s 1999….I want to grocery shop like it’s 1999.”
