Jonathan Graham Champion at Plainville Open

Jonathan Graham went 4-0 against opponents from Plainville, Russell, Hill City and Great Bend to win the Plainville Open Tournament at 10 & Under 79 pounds. Jonathan won by three falls and one decision to place first.

The Open/Novice Tournament was held at Plainville on Saturday, February 8th. The Stockton Wrestling Club entered sixteen wrestlers in the tournament which was held in two gyms. Mya Trevino and Carolina Northup were champions in the Novice division, both going 2-0.

Also wrestling in the novice tournament for Stockton were Cohen Muir, Blake Balthazor, Jefferson Creighton, Hudson Kriley, Judsten Cockrell, Hudson Muir and Damon Muir.

Cohen Muir competed at 6 & Under 37-40 pounds and won his way to a second-place medal by only having one loss. Jefferson Creighton and Hudson Kriley both went 1-2.

Competing in the Open division were Grayson Mongeau, Cole Flower, Eli Atkisson, Quintin Trevino, Garrison Mongeau, Zeke Balthazor and Jonathan Graham.

Cole Flower placed second in the 55-58 pound class. Cole won 3 out of 4 matches. Quintin Trevino also placed second with a record of 3-1.

The wrestlers will compete in their last regular season tournament on February 15th at the Hill City Rumble. The Regional District IV Tournament will be held in two weeks at Fort Hays Coliseum on March 7th.
