What Stocktonites Were Doing 98 Years Ago (1911) — The formal ceremony of transferring the title of the library building to the City of Stockton was observed. It was a very pleasant gathering that filled the beautiful and well-lighted rooms of the new library building, and very excellent and appropriate exercises were held. An orchestra under the leadership of C. A. Jepson gave several selections, and their music would be welcome in any city. The library will be a very welcome institution in Stockton.
