WHILE THE AREA IS STILL WAITING FOR THAT FIRST BIG SPRING THUNDERSTORM OF THE SEASON, here is a Yesteryear picture from June 2nd, 1908, of the Washburn Bridge located approximately one mile east of town. If you look closely, not only is there a horse and wagon on the bridge, but a man sitting on the top of the structure looking out over the flooded area. Lora Belle Sander brought the picture into the Sentinel to share with our readers.
