* Kirk Cameron, who is best known for his role as Mike Seaver on the ABC sitcom “Growing Pains” has a new book out, “As You Grow.”

* I watched the FIFA World Cup games until my favorite player’s team lost. Until that moment I was watching almost every match, and then when Portugal lost and Ronaldo walked off the pitch, I was basically done. But I will admit I did watch the championship game, which was totally awesome since it came down to a shoot out! This was probably Ronaldo’s last World Cup appearance as well as Neymar’s (my second favorite football player), but I am not going to say never because that man is a machine. Siuuu!! And no, I just didn’t jump on the bandwagon this year, I have enjoyed watching soccer (football) since Pele (Watched the movie, “Victory”) and the Kansas City Comets indoor soccer team!! Go Manny Schwartz!

* Keep talking Rob Schneider, and John Schneider, and Kevin Sorbo and Kanye (Ye), and Chris Pratt, and James Woods, and John Voight, and John Rich, etc.

* Yes, I am just going to say it. Other than Austin Butler’s phenomenal performance as Elvis, I did not like anything about that movie. And don’t even get me started on Tom Hanks. (I didn’t even make it through the entire movie.)

* Love the “Are We Troy Bolton Yet?” sign hanging in the Stockton High School gym. Love those “High School Musical” movies! “Get your head in the game!”

* I find it ironic that director James Cameron is advocating that testosterone is a toxin that men should work out of their systems, yet his movie “AVATAR” is making millions on strong-willed characters focused on saving their families, and their way of life.

* Who remembers doing the Shimmy? And it goes without having to say it—the best song to do the Shimmy to is Tommy James and the Shondell’s “Mony, Mony.” Also, who wore Naru jackets?

* Do the workers behind the scenes of TV series like cameramen, the lighting crew, makeup artists, etc. make any money from reruns or just the actors? And if not, why not?
