* Let’s bring tinsel back on the Christmas trees next year!

* God is good. Remember, EVERYONE on that field, on TV as well as everyone watching the night when Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest, either took a knee or sent up a prayer to God. And the blessings keep coming in support of Damar’s charity and people donating to other worthy causes like the EMS, hospitals, response teams….

* After I wrote about my favorite soccer players of all time in last week’s editorial, Pele passed away at the age of 82. He was the first player I ever saw do a bicycle kick. If I close my eyes, I can still see it.

* Who would love to go back in time and walk into the Rooks County Bakery for a glazed doughnut, a maple stick, a coconut fried roll or a cherry chip cookie Jim Lytle would bake fresh every morning? Or buy one of the pretty dresses Alice would sew and have for sale? That would be me!

* Once it was announced that Ronaldo is going to play football at Al Nassr, their team Instagram account went from 860,000 followers to over four million in one day! I think it is now over ten million followers.

* This year I am going to go more eco-friendly and I am starting with using vinegar to clean my windows and adding it in my washing machine as a laundry softener. I am doing my homework on this since it can be mixed with other ingredients, like baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to clean different surfaces so I don’t ruin anything!

* The top ten boys’ and girls’ names for the 2022 year in the poll I read are as follows: Theodore, Liam, Benjamin, David, Andrew, Grayson, Henry, Alexander, Beau, Cooper for the boys; and Ellie, Emma, Harper, Olivia, Scarlett, Adeline, Amelia, Ava, Charlotte and Grace for the girls. Just thought you all would like to know!

* Things to do in 2023: Do the things you love more often; Let go of people or situations that drain you; Sometimes you need to get uncomfortable to get comfortable; Wherever your attention goes your energy flows; and If you change your mindset you will change your life.

* I loved the Christmas holidays and the days off of work we had to celebrate the “Reason for the Season” as well as the New Year, but I have to admit I am kind of glad to be getting back into the swing of things and a regular work schedule so I know what day it is.
