A lot of people think that God has given them a tough life, whereas others are having an easy life. They may feel they suffer far more than others. But this is simply not the case. Everyone has their own share of struggles, but the Lord has promised to be with us and deliver us from all our troubles.

At the annual Sigma Phi ESA Christmas Luncheon, which was held at Stockton City Hall on Sunday, December 4th, the raffle winners were announced at the end of the event. Winners were Shirlee Muir, who won a craft item; Karen Joslyn, who won the $50.00 Chamber Check; and Luke Kriley, won the $50.00 Nova Theatre pass. Congratulations to the winners of this year’s event!

The KMEA High School Honor Band, High School Honor Choir and Elementary Honor Choir held their Convention II Concert at Fort Hays State University on Saturday, December 3rd with Stockton being represented in the choirs at both the elementary and high school level.

This year’s winners of the Community Christmas Tree Ornament Contest are as follows: (Adult) Erin Miller placed first and Will Leake placed second; (Teen) Camille Lowry placed first and Remy Muir placed second; and (Youth) Evelyn Hilbrink placed first and Lane Muir placed second with Owen Muir winning Santa’s Favorite Ornament. Congratulations!

The Stockton Fire Department was called out on Sunday, November 20th at approximately 3:44 p.m. to a report of smoke in a pasture just west of J Road and 9 Road. The volunteers worked the area for over an hour and a half with roughly 30 acres burned. At this time it is not known how the fire started.
