Patrol reports Labor Day Weekend holiday activity

The Kansas Highway Patrol has released its Labor Day Weekend Holiday Activity Report. The reporting period for the holiday ran from 6 p.m.
For the second week in a row, Rooks County State Fishing Lake in under an active “Warning” Advisory for Blue-Green Algae.
The latest advisories were released Friday afternoon, September 9, from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP).
A “Warning” status indicates that conditions are unsafe for human and pet exposure. Contact with the waterbody should be avoided.
No other lakes in the immediate area are under a “Warning” or “Watch” advisory at this time.
